Project Overview
PSG Energy Services supported Toyota Motor North America’s renewable energy initiatives through large-scale solar project coordination and implementation. A featured installation at Toyota’s Kentucky manufacturing campus includes a nearly 30-acre solar field designed to advance on-site clean electricity generation.
The Challenge
Toyota is pursuing carbon neutrality across its U.S. facilities by 2035. Meeting that goal requires scalable renewable energy infrastructure integrated into existing manufacturing environments. Solar development at an active industrial campus called for close coordination of construction, infrastructure, schedules, and stakeholders.
The Solution
PSG supported solar project planning, stakeholder coordination, installation, and commissioning. Working with Toyota’s teams and external partners, PSG helped integrate the nearly 30-acre solar field alongside ongoing manufacturing activity while keeping delivery aligned with Toyota’s environmental objectives.
Client Objectives
1
Advance renewable energy adoption and carbon-neutrality goals.
2
Expand on-site clean electricity generation at manufacturing facilities.
3
Integrate solar infrastructure while supporting ongoing plant operations.
Highlights
Turnkey Project Support
PSG coordinated solar development and implementation activities from planning through installation and commissioning.
Industrial-Site Integration
Project coordination accounted for construction and electrical infrastructure within an active manufacturing environment.
Sustainability Alignment
The solar installation supports Toyota’s broader renewable energy and emissions-reduction strategy.
The Results + Impact
The nearly 30-acre Kentucky solar field is expected to generate approximately 15 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity each year—equivalent to the annual electricity needs of more than 1,400 U.S. homes. These are projected generation figures, not a statement of independently verified annual production.
